Ephesus. Reshaped Identity. Reshaped City

Too many Christians live uncertain of who they are in Christ, or what Christ has made available to them. These are Christians who live in spiritual poverty, not knowing the size of their spiritual bank account.

Christ has promised us every spiritual blessing. He has offered us forgiveness from our sins and freedom from its slavery. He has lavished his wisdom upon us. He has made known to us the mystery of his will. We were Once dead in sins; we are now alive, examples of the incomparable riches of his grace.  Every barrier preventing us from becoming full participants in the body of Christ has been torn down. Sin has lost its ability to control us. All the demons of hell are powerless against us. We are brought into the light and clothed with the Lord Jesus himself.

And yet, some of us lead a spiritually poverty-stricken life. We live in spiritual bankruptcy while the wealth of heaven is at our disposal. Our problem is that we do not know how to access this wealth. We hear that others have, but we don’t know how to get it ourselves.  If you feel this struggle, I have good news. We have been given the book of Ephesians which provides us the tools for “Empowered Living”.
