Jesus’ words, “Judge not”, or “Do not judge”, are among the most misunderstood words in the Bible. For some, these words justify moral relativism. For others, these words give them an excuse not to have to exercise wisdom regarding complex issues. Still others are confused. They have an inner sense of what it feels like to be “judged”, and agree we shouldn’t do it. But they are not sure where the line between wisdom and judgmentalism lies. Today, we will learn how to discern wise from foolish judgment.
